History written in the sky…It all began back in 1672... Eager to impress, the Grand Condé welcomed the Dauphin of France in to his domain with a banquet of honour. Suddenly, as the last rays of sunlight faded behind the horizon, the sky was lit up in a thousand explosive colours… The tradition of Chantilly's firework shows was thus born. Over two centuries later and Chantilly revived the old tradition, celebrating the Nuits du Feu every two years. Most editions draw a total of 150 000 spectators! The idea behind the event is simple: the pyrotechnics masterminds have 14 minutes to convince everyone that they are the best in the field. Every year a new theme is established and the show reflects that concept. Not to miss!
