Fleet-footed mounts…A mythical sport event for a grandiose and no less mythical venue… The Equestrian competitions organised at the Grand Palais were all the rage in the early 20th century, a symbol of the nation's wealth and culture. Though officially terminated in 1957 (when faced with the rise of the automobile), the competition has been revived and will once again be taking place in the famed Parisian monument. It will be as if the hiatus never happened and this were yet another yearly tradition, a well-established date on the cultural calendar.
