Where Bernadette was born.On 7 janvier 1844 in this mill in Lourdes the famous Bernadette Soubirous was born. The place has kept the name of its former proprietors, the "Boly" family.The Soubirous family were to live there until 1854 when they were expelled following the slow social descent of the family. Mills themselves fell into misuse during this period with the development of industrial mills.Today the site is visited by many pilgrims who come to pray to St Bernadette. Discover her room on the 1st floor, and the old mill itself on the ground floor. The Moulin de Boly has been reconstructed to look just as it was in her time.
