My fair lady. The Prix du Jockey-Club at Chantilly is one of the most prestigious horse races in France. The race was created in 1836 for three-year-olds, like the Epsom Derby. The event usually takes place on the first Sunday in June, and is 2400 meters long.Every year, 10, 000 people flock to the racetrack to cheer the horses on.But it's more than just a race: it's also a major social event. People dress up in their finery (think Audrey Hepburn in the racing scene in My Fair Lady) and come to see and be seen!
