Constructions…Séverine Hubard (born in Lille in 1977) is a sculptor, though the more apt description would be a "constructor"… Her work has for the past decade been focused on its application in an urban environment. Her works seem at the frontier of sculpture and architecture, boasting a "bric-à-brac" quality (achieved through scientific precision) that gives them charm and accessibility. Village is a work specially put together for the Strasbourg contemporary and modern art museum (the MAMCS). It is made up of 18 "cabins" that are combined and placed together. Towering ten meters, it will be visible from outside the museum… More of her works will be displayed at the Archaeology and Zoology Museums.
