A highly colourful race

With the arrival of motor boats, the traditional fishing boats were destined to disappear. But that was before the intervention of the traditional sail boat comittee of Guadeloupe.

For the survival of the "saintoises" (small coloured boats built in wood from "Les Saintes" island), the Tour of Guadeloupe was organised in 2001.

This great event is an opportunity for the population to have parties on the beaches of each stage town and every year it attracts more attention.
