TheLake Bourget Aquarium takes its visitors through the abounding life in the rivers of both France and Europe. The public are invited to test and improve their knowledge of Lake Bourget via interactive displays: its seasonal variations, its history, its natural features, its wildlife, its plant life and human's relationship with the lake are all examined.Approximately forty fishswim in the pools and some can even be handled in the touch pool: carp and sturgeon can also be handled by visitors.Two windows displaying birds provides an ornithological alternative to the aquatic setting.
