In a fantastic vision, the blue and emerald sea laps at the bottom of the cliffs, towering masses of pink sandstone which are home to an important bird sanctuary. The Troïl guillemot is to be found here, and in fact the local colony continues to grow steadily, which is an exceptional occurrence.The Petite and the Grande Fauconnière, high rocky peaks, are havens of choice for many nesting birds. The impressive caves and unusual form of some rocks reinforce the striking aspect of the site.Walkers can reach the medieval fort on the coastal path. Built in the 14th century, it overlooks the ocean from its perch over 60 meters up. It can be visited, as can the current lighthouse from the top of which, weather permitting, the Channel Islands are visible.
