The rapid construction of the cathedral of Amiens, from 1220 to 1288, explains the homogeneity of its architecture. It is the largest cathedral in France with a length of 145 meters and a height of the nave vaults reaching 42.30 meters. In the 19th century, Viollet-le-Duc's restoration was to restore to former glory the corners turrets, gargoyles and the gallery of bellringers. It was classified as a Masterpiece of World Heritage by Unesco in 1981.On its facade, admire the gallery of Kings - bringing more than two dozen towering statues - and the rose above them.
