In 1640, Pierre le Marinier, parliament member from Rouen, decided to have a castle built. It was finished six years later. The impressive stone and brick structure stands proudly in a large English garden decorated with ponds, including one in a half-moon shape. The castle, remaining in the same family since its construction, retains its period interior design and furniture. The intact sumptuous interior impresses and charms visitors while the vast lawns are refreshed by the basins.
