Maritime Abbey of Beauport

Occupying a unique seaside location on the road to Saint-Brieuc, this abbey was built between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, and was to replace a monastic building located on the island of Rom.
The abbey of Beauport is the most beautiful historical and architectural monument of Paimpol and bears witness to the fine workmanship of Breton religious architecture.

Several restored areas are open to visitors: the abbey's chapter house, the cellar, and the remains of the cloister.
The coastal environment and the changes made by the canons over the centuries combine to enhance the charm of this abbey.
