Standing in one of the most prestigious areas of the Champagne region, Verzenay Lighthouse was built as an advertising gimmick in 1909. It was used as a dance hall before being damaged in World War One and falling into disrepair. It’s since been renovated and turned into a museum retracing the history of local winemaking. With temporary and permanent exhibitions, the high-tech museum takes you through everything that goes into producing the world’s most famous wine. And, of course, it offers some amazing views of the surrounding vineyards.
