The Jean Gauthier Distillery was founded in 1968. Since the nineties, it has been a leading producer of eau de vie, in particular of kirsch and pear brandy.Every year, the distillery transforms several thousand tons of fruit through grinding, fermentation and distillation.The Musée de l'Alambic (Still Museum) tells visitors all about the trade of the travelling distillers, which disappeared with mechanization. These distillers worked with different tools, often made of copper, which have been collected from the four corners of France and are on display here.
