The Besançon Zoo takes great care about endangered species, whether primates (from tamarinds to gibbons, to marmosets and lemurs), great cats (Asian lion and Siberian tiger) or birds. Be impressed by the great cats through large bay windows that allow visitors to fully appreciate their majestic movements. Rivalry in colour and sound reign in the twelve aviaries of the Besançon Zoo at the Citadel: a dumbfounding ballet of colourful feathers and a concert of cries and songs are on display.
