Want to visit a French city that is both full of history and located within beautiful surroundings? Then Clermont Ferrand and Premiere Classe Hotels are your perfect match!

A two-day trip:

Two days is just about enough time to get to know the city of Clermont Ferrand. Hotel Premiere Classe Clermont Ferrand Nord and Hotel Premiere Classe Clermont Ferrand Sud – Aubieres are both just a short taxi ride from the city’s star attraction: the Puy de Dome. You will want to spend your first day visiting the dormant volcano that overlooks the city where you can hike up it and parasail down it. For day two head to Place de Jaude where you will see the bronze statue of Vercingetorix – soldier from the Gallic wars – sculpted by the man who created the Statue of Liberty. Next check out the city’s two famous churches in the Romanesque Notre-Dame du Port (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and the Gothic Clermont-Ferrand Cathedral.

A one-week break
A whole week is the perfect amount of time to really get to know the city of Clermont Ferrand. With the city home to Michelin tyres why not visit the L’Aventure Michelin where you can have a tour of the factory as well as checking out the testing track. If you fancy more great views of the city after Puy de Dome then head to Parc Montijuzet which is a park overlooking the city or if you don’t want to hike then Jardin Le Coq, which lies in the centre of town is another good bet but minus the views. The city also boasts some excellent museums such as Le Musee Roger Quilliot, showcasing art from the region, and the Musee Le Coq Natural History Museum.

A family holiday
Clermont Ferrand is a great place to take the whole family! Whether it is visiting the Vulcania theme park by the Puy-de-Dome, catching an ASM Clermont Auvergne rugby union game or exploring the Livradois-Forez Natural Park there will be something for everybody!
