TRAVEL GUIDE

What to do in Wroclaw?

Discover Wroclaw in a weekend
A weeks’ stay in Wroclaw
Wroclaw with the children
Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, Wroclaw is definitely worth a visit. Divided up on the Oder, the city invites you to go from island to island. Cross the old bridges such as Tumski Bridge. You can then get to the gothic cathedral. Then, continue your way with the Raclawice Panorama, a 360° fresco narrating the battle of the Polish against the Russians. Take a detour through the charming lanes and the marketplace, Rynek, appears. Built in the 13th century, it is surrounded by vibrantly colored homes, a basilica with a panoramic terrace, and Ratusz, the magnificent former city hall.
Starting from your affordable hotel room, fully enjoy your excursions in Wroclaw. The cathedral and the marketplace are not the only gems the destination has to offer. Stroll among the stalls of the surprising open market, Hala Targowa, walk by the Ossolineum library and its pretty garden… If you would like to see another side of Wroclaw, head to Nadordze. This renovated neighborhood inspires easy living with its mural artworks, its art galleries, and its small cafés. After this fascinating week, why not make a stop in Warsaw or Berlin?
A family trip to Wroclaw can be fun. More than 200 statues of dwarfs, Karsnale, are hidden in the city! So go ahead to find as many as you can. Pay attention, because these little bronze creatures can sometimes be found in unexpected places. After this original search, treat yourself to a green break in the neighborhood of Srodmiescie. The parks and the zoo will delight adults and children alike. At the end of these packed days, return to your hotel room for a restful night.

Your gastronomic stay in Poland

To get the day off to a good start, an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet awaits you at your hotel. You will then be ready to visit Wroclaw and taste its culinary specialties. During your breaks, try the beet or cabbage salads and soups… Marinated herring is also high on the menu. Unmissable delicacies, pierogi is a ravioli dish made with potatoes and Polish fromage blanc. Also very typical is the sernik, which will satisfy those with a sweet tooth with its resemblance to cheesecake.

Did you know?

Close to Saint Elizabeth Church and your hotel, you perhaps weren’t expecting to find Jatki. This small cobblestone street is an extraordinary witness to the 17th and 18th centuries. Old butcher stalls have kept their black and white facades. Today, artisans and gallery owners have set up there. Take a closer look at the street and you will see the bronze pig, duck, goat, and more, bringing Jatki to life. This sculptural ensemble resonates like a homage to the animals that were once slaughtered here. Note that Wroclaw has many vegetarian and vegan restaurants.
