Have you heard the story about Roissy’s birds? It’s a funny one! As you’ve walked through the town, have you ever wondered about the pretty, vibrant green birds you see around? These ring-necked Indian parakeets seem rather exotic for the Île-de-France. That’s because they are — the ancestors of these feathered friends escaped from the cargo area at the airport in the seventies. At the time, many pet stores were selling these highly fashionable little birds. Just one lapse in concentration, and there you are: there are flocks not just in Roissy, but in Marseille, Lille, Strasbourg and more...
